I now see the frustration that Kingman was going through picking the DFS lineups. Low scoring week overall in fantasy sports, but wow was last week a disaster. Let’s hope that Santa will bring us a good lineup and fill our pockets full of cash! Here are my picks for Week 16.
Matt Ryan ($7200) – Matty Ice has been arguably the best QB of the NFL 2016 season. Look for that trend to continue against a questionable Carolina Panthers defense. Look for Ryan to have over 300 yards passing and multiple scores in this game.
TY Hilton ($7800) – Hilton was a bust last weekend catching only 3 passes from Andrew Luck. However, Luck did miss Hilton wide open in the end zone last weekend. Look for a rebound game from Hilton. Hilton will have over 130 receiving yards and a touchdown in this contest against the weak Raiders secondary.
Cameron Brate ($3900) – Winston and Brate have been connecting a lot this season in the end zone. Look for that to continue is Week 16 in what should be one of the highest scoring games of the weekend. Brate should connect frequently with QB Jameis Winston in this contest. Excpect 75 receiving yards and 1 TD in this contest against the Saints.
Todd Gurley ($6500) – Gurley has had an awful 2016 season. Even though the Rams are matched up against the 49ers, who have the worst rush defense in the NFL. I still think Gurley will not produce for the asking price. There are better options out there for a better price.
Julio Jones ($8100) – If Jones plays this weekend do not expect much out of him. Turf toe has notoriously slowed down many stud athletes and normally takes more than a couple weeks of rest to get over the injury. If Jones plays, he likely will be a decoy. An expensive decoy at that!
Philip Rivers ($6900) – Rivers is playing against the winless Browns this weekend. The matchup is very favorable for Rivers, but I am not trusting this one. I think the cross-country travel for the Chargers will affect the Chargers, and possibly hand the Browns their first and only victory of the 2016 season. I would pass on all Chargers this weekend.
New England Patriots Defense ($3600) – The Patriots will take on the Jets this weekend. The Jets are in a lot of trouble and look for the Pats defense to be very opportunistic on the defensive side against Bryce Petty. The Pats defense should hold the Jets to single digits, and record at least one defensive TD.
